Northwesterly winds are increasing across central and southern waters as a cold front approaches from the west today. Strong to gale-force southwesterly winds and hazardous surf conditions will develop along the New South Wales coast on Wednesday in the wake of the passage of the front. After this, winds will remain fresh to strong as a complex low pressure system forms over the central Tasman Sea.
