A high pressure system centred over southeastern Australia is extending a ridge over Sydney local waters. The high is slowly drifting eastwards and will reach the Tasman Sea during today. A cold front and its associated trough are forecast to drive a gusty southerly change up the coast on Saturday. A low pressure system may develop offshore on Sunday, however the positioning of this feature is currently uncertain.
