Weather Situation

A high [1030 hPa] centred over the western Tasman Sea extends a ridge of high pressure over the south Queensland waters. The ridge will persist through the week as the high slowly drifts eastwards across the Tasman Sea, weakening a little from Friday as a trough moves eastwards across southern Queensland. The trough is forecast to move slowly across South Queensland Waters from late on Saturday and into Sunday.
