Weather Situation
A high pressure centre over eastern Australia extends a ridge over Tasmania today, bringing mostly settled weather to the state. A deep low pressure centre and associated cold front move over the Bight, directing a strong northwesterly airstream over the Tasmania as it approaches early Tuesday. The front crosses Tuesday afternoon, with a much cooler southwesterly airstream to follow, persisting but easing during Wednesday and Thursday as a broad ridge builds to the west.
